Deer Valley Unified School District Students Perform Holiday Melodies for Shoppers
(Phoenix, AZ) – This holiday season, ease the stress of gift shopping by treating yourself to an evening of classic carols performed by local youth. On Saturday, December 12, The Shops at Norterra will entertain shoppers with “Sounds of the Holidays.” The Shops at Norterra is located on the Northeast corner of I-17 and Happy Valley Road.
Visitors will delight in the festive musical offerings from the Deer Valley Unified School District as student choirs, bands and musical ensembles perform classic yuletide melodies from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Performers will include students from primary grades through high school. One highlight of the evening will be a 5 p.m. handbell choir performance by fifth and sixth grade students from Esperanza Music School, a new music program in its first year of operation.
In addition to the festive holiday music, St. Nick himself will provide a special attraction. Santa Claus will be on hand to greet visitors and entertain Christmas wishes from young and old as he strolls along Norterra’s Main Street. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies from Paradise Bakery will be available, while supplies last.
